About Sarah
I imagine you’re looking for a therapist because something is not working.
Do you want to reach your goals without sacrificing yourself?
Is there a drill sergeant inside demanding you accomplish more?
Are you longing to work smarter, not harder?
Did you learn as a kid that your value is tied to your performance?
My Specialty
1). I work with driven, high-achieving professionals who pursue success in ways that often leave them unfulfilled.
2). I work with adults who have experienced trauma in childhood.
These two often go hand-in-hand. My job is to help you understand why that is and how to make the changes you want to make.
If this is you, you’re not alone.
I am here to help you.
I have 10 years of experience working with leaders and executives in major business sectors and the creative arts.
My Story
I became a therapist because I went to therapy. In my early 20s, despite a thriving career as a journalist and a personal life that should have fulfilled me, I was suffering. In my quest to feel better, I stumbled onto the therapy couch and found a place that allowed me to truly know myself for the first time.
Fueled by this personal transformation, I completed a Master’s Degree at U.C. Berkeley. In 2016, I opened a multi-region private therapy practice with offices in the Bay Area and Sacramento, where I specialized in treating adults with childhood trauma.
I discovered I thrived when working with aspirational perfectionists who - while climbing the corporate ladder or incubating start-ups - were struggling privately. Working at the intersection between professional development and trauma treatment became my passion.
I began accepting speaking engagements, training physicians, and consulting for addiction treatment centers, expanding my reach outside the therapy office.
My life is infinitely more joyful today than ever before. When not with clients, I teach yoga, walk my dogs, read voraciously, work on home reno projects, and spend time with family.
